The 1^st International Conference on Marine Metal Material and Application (CMM2020) will be held on June 21-24, 2020 in Anshan, China. CMM2020 will be jointly organized by The Chinese Society for Metals and Ansteel Group Corporation Limited and sponsored by State Key Laboratory of Metal Material for Marine Equipment and Application.

Expanding demand for marine resources is driving rapid growth of the blue ocean economy, which boosts the development of high-performance materials for marine applications. Marine metallic materials which are environmental friendly with higher safety and longer service life are required. Relevant industries are transforming and upgrading in manufacturing technology, developing new products, applying new equipment and constructing major projects. For cost-efficient application in the harsh marine environment, materials with high strength, toughness, corrosion and fatigue resistance and good weldability are desired.

CMM2020 aims to bring together professionals and experts around the world to share their knowledge and experience on recent advances and innovations in materials and technology for marine applications. Topics of interest for submission include but are not limited to high-performance metallic materials, welding technology and materials, and corrosion and service performance evaluation. The conference will promote academia-industry cooperation as well as the cooperation between steel industry and shipbuilding/offshore industry.
